Instead of a bright pink, it has a softer, almost neutral pink tone with hints of mauve, purple and subtle coral. The color seems to shift a little as the stone moves, and it is one of those beautiful shades that feels like it could go with absolutely everything.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe tourmaline is rose cut, so it is flat on the back and faceted across the top. I loved the way light played through the stone and wanted to take advantage of that, so I created an open prong setting specifically for it. The sides and back remain open, and I elevated the setting slightly above the ring band so light can reach the tourmaline from underneath as well. I gave the band a hammered faceted texture, so the silver catches the light and sparkles along with the tourmaline.
