Coin Pearl Toggle Bracelet

Paul designed and handcrafted this freshwater coin pearl bracelet entirely by hand, starting with each individual link of the substantial silver chain. At the center, he created a larger hammered silver circle to frame the natural freshwater coin pearl, with slightly smaller circular links forming the rest of the bracelet.

One of my favorite details is the care he takes when hammering each link. Texturing both sides of a silver circle is more challenging than it might seem because hammering one side can flatten the texture on the opposite side against the steel block. Paul uses a gentle technique, working back and forth over both surfaces multiple times to build and blend the texture. The result is a beautifully finished chain with no obvious front or back. Every link looks lovely from either side, including the larger center circle and even the handmade toggle bar.

He then polishes the entire bracelet to a high shine, allowing all those tiny hammered surfaces to catch and reflect the light beautifully from every angle.

Another feature I really appreciate is the adjustable design. Rather than adding a separate extender chain, Paul created a handmade toggle clasp that can securely fasten into any of the circular links. This allows you to fine tune the fit depending on whether you prefer your bracelets snug or a little looser.

The bracelet comes in two lengths, 7.5 inches and 8.5 inches, and either can be fastened at any shorter length. If you have a smaller wrist, the 7.5 inch option will generally give you less extra chain hanging down, although you can certainly choose the longer version if you enjoy a little more dangle.

I actually love the look of those extra links hanging below the clasp. They add a pretty finishing detail, and the additional length and weight also give you something easier to hold onto when fastening the bracelet yourself.

It's a thoughtful, versatile design with a beautiful substantial feel, and Paul's attention to every little detail makes the craftsmanship just as special as the pearl itself.
