The phrase “through thick and thin” originated as a literal description of moving through the woods.  The thickets being dense with vegetation and hard to get through compared with the thin woods that were easier to navigate. Today we use this saying to mean staying steady through life, whether in a relationship, a friendship, or a personal endeavor.  Continuing under all circumstances, no matter the conditions.

I made this piece with one heavy, hammered link and one lighter, thin link interlocked at the front. In my head it was the Thick and Thin Necklace. It felt like the perfect way to thank someone for always having your back, to tell a bestie you will always be there, or to keep a personal reminder to sustain your effort or practice even when things get tough.

To make gifting easier and a little more special, it arrives boxed suspended on a “Through Thick and Thin”  card so it’s clear right away what the links symbolize.

This is a remake of a design we have been making for years.  Over time you realize that certain details could really add to a piece and this necklace has it all.  We added more circles for a look that flows perfectly and made it a bit longer so that it can be doubled up and worn as two short chains for a totally different look.  We kept the same sturdy chain and made the circles with a nice thickness of silver so that the hand hammering really adds dimension and it feels substantial and able to hold up to daily wear.  A classic style with modern details, something you reach for over and over because it just goes with everything.

Handcrafted with solid, nickel free sterling silver, these are the perfect everyday stud earrings.   These are carefully hammered in a radial pattern to facet the surface so that once they are polished to a high shine they reflect the light and sparkle so beautifully.  Just right when you want something simple and understated that is still eye catching and special.

• These are made hand forged melted silver not thin sheet so they have a really nice thickness and presence to them.

These are such a simple style but they pack so much shine!  Paul created these earrings by melting down silver into a big round ball.  By carefully hammering and shaping them he was able to make these thick, button shaped discs with a nice rounded dome.  Then they were hammered to create the surface texture in a radial pattern that gives them a faceted appearance and reflects the light so perfectly so they really sparkle.  While these are nice and thick they are still light and comfortable to wear. The upgraded push on ear nut is a 7mm size so they are firmly held in place.  The posts are soldered right in the center of the stud on the back.

These earrings are an easy everyday style, but the high shine and faceting really take them to the next level. They work just as well dressed up for a night out as they do with something simple and casual. I made the two silver circles with slightly different hammering to add dimension and interest. The top circle has a thinner look with an overall dimpled texture, while the lower circle is flared in one area so it reflects the light differently. I really love how those two shapes play off each other.

The black tourmaline gemstones are all slightly different sizes, which creates a nice graduated look with lots of texture and movement. The top stone is a flat coin with a checkerboard cut that really sparkles when it catches the light, and it adds such a beautiful contrast against the polished silver. I hand fabricated each silver component, hammered the textures by hand, and carefully assembled the gemstones so everything feels balanced and intentional. These are lightweight, comfortable to wear, and one of those pairs you will reach for again and again because they truly go with everything.
