Hammered Silver Bar Bracelet

This solid Argentium Sterling Silver hammered bar bracelet pairs a streamlined, minimalist design with beautiful hand-forged texture, making it an easy everyday piece to dress up or down.

Each silver bar is individually cut from heavy silver and forged by hand, with half of the bar worked in one direction and the other half in the opposite direction. This creates a subtle dimensional surface that catches and reflects the light almost like tiny facets. I leave some of that hand-forged texture in the finished piece rather than polishing it away completely because I love the interest it gives the silver. The bracelet is finished to a beautiful high shine, so that subtle texture reflects the light from every angle.

Between the solid bars are small chain links that I make by hand, weld closed, and gently stretch into elongated oval shapes. I specifically chose this shape instead of round links because I wanted them to blend more seamlessly with the straight, narrow bars and give the entire bracelet a more streamlined look.

The design combines 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch forged bars with shorter open links, creating contrast between solid silver and open space while allowing the bracelet to move gracefully around the wrist. It is a modern update to a bracelet design I first made many years ago, with shorter bars and elongated links giving this version a more fluid, delicate feel.
