Oval Freshwater Pearl Dangle Earrings

These handmade freshwater pearl dangle earrings feature natural oval coin pearls and hammered Argentium Sterling Silver links, combining modern artistic style with timeless elegance for everyday wear or special occasions.

Paul handcrafted these earrings using two elongated oval silver links that beautifully complement the shape of the natural freshwater coin pearls. He made one link from a heavier gauge of Argentium Sterling Silver, giving it a substantial surface for his beautiful hammer texturing. The second link is more delicate and hammered in the opposite direction, creating an interesting contrast in the way the silver catches the light.

I especially love how the three oval shapes work together. The elongated silver links echo the shape of the pearls, creating a flowing, streamlined design that feels beautifully balanced. The alternating hammered surfaces add dimension and texture without taking away from the natural beauty of the gemstones.

These oval coin pearls have wonderful natural character, with beautiful luster and subtle surface textures that make each one unique. Their unusual elongated shape is a little different from traditional round or circular coin pearls, and I think that makes them especially interesting in this design.

The silver is polished to a high shine to reflect the light beautifully, bringing out every detail of the hammered texture. Despite their substantial appearance, these earrings weigh approximately 4.9 grams per pair, making them comfortable for everyday wear.

What I really love about these earrings is how easily they move between casual and dressy styles. The hammered silver gives them a slightly modern, artistic edge, while the luminous pearls and clean, elongated shapes keep the overall look elegant.
