Each necklace starts with a beautifully cut, natural labradorite gemstone, carefully selected for its vibrant, colorful flash. Because these stones are completely natural, no two will ever be exactly the same, but I choose gems with strong surface flash and a lot of character. I create a custom bezel for each one, then shape and solder a hand-hammered silver rim around it. The texture catches the light in a way that plays beautifully off the faceting of the stone, giving the pendant extra sparkle while still keeping the overall look minimal and easy to wear. The finished piece is polished to a high shine and paired with a flat cable sterling silver chain that’s both delicate and sturdy, with a lobster clasp and built-in extender so it can be worn at 16 inches and is adjustable up to 18 inches.
I was especially drawn to labradorite for this design because of the way it forms. Over millions of years, under heat and pressure, the internal crystal layers begin to reflect light in such a striking, unexpected way. That transformation is slow, and the result is something truly unique. To me, it’s a beautiful reminder that change takes time, and that what’s happening beneath the surface is often the most powerful part of the process.

Argentium Sterling Silver is a high grade of sterling silver. Traditional sterling silver is 92.5% silver while Argentium is 94% pure silver. In addition to a higher silver content, Argentium is also certified nickel free, created from recycled silver, brighter white in color and is naturally tarnish resistant due to having less copper present than traditional silver. Argentium Sterling Silver is transparent about what their alloy is so you can be sure you are getting hypoallergenic nickel free sterling silver. We love working with this silver and the bright shiny polish we can achieve with it!
